Findings: smell of smoke, phone unresponsive, dead, no more working. Conclusion: a cordless phone will NOT survive a nuclear explosion.

Well, at least your kids only burn them!! I have a child who flushed one down the toilet! They don't survive that either, although they do clog the toilet and require husband to take completely apart and try to locate phone! (I did not stay in the room for that one!)
Mostly, I have decided the couch must be a secret canabal and eating the phone behind my back!
