It is finally January and 2008. All the closer to Thing 1 and Thing 2 joining us. And, oh, there is so much to do. Now that the holidays are over, we can get going.
We did enjoy our holiday, though. One of the things on my list was to get my new kitchen sink installed. This was a major undertaking, but well worth the wait and work. Of course I just kept the kids busy. Tony did all the work. I am so excited to have it!! It is so shiny!!
One of the habits I have established is to keep up with the dishes. This means that I do the dishes after each meal. It can be hard at times, but as I keep up with it I don't have to do a whole days worth of dishes at night. I have also taught the kids to take care of their dishes. Katia just mainly puts hers in the sink or by the sink. But this helps so much so that I don't have to hunt all over the kitchen for dirty dishes. And now with the shiny new sink, I have more motivation.
Another habit I have been diligent in maintaining is the laundry. I do a load or two everyday so that it doesn't pile up. It has been great. So far I haven't had to do any on the weekend. And I usually get Wednesdays off. I hoping that as I keep this habit up, when the twins come, it won't be so much of a hard thing.
I had everyone help me take the tree down on Saturday, so that it wouldn't be a chore for me. This was so good and we were able to have fun with it. We kept up the outdoor lights and will leave them up until this coming Saturday. But its nice to have that job done.
One of the fun gifts we received was for Thing 1 and Thing 2. The onesies that Mimi found for them. I was so excited to open that for them. Of course I tried them on and they probably won't fit properly until June, As they are only about as long from head to toe as the onesie itself.
I decided that I would post the last ultrasound of them from Dec 19th, week 23. This was the one where the doctor said that this was a perfect pregnancy and that they were doing great because they are both extremely close to the same size. One weighs 150 grams, while the other weighs 157 grams. He said that at about 15-18 weeks they start to vary greatly in their sizes and this can be a sign of TTS (twin transfer syndrome). But things are going great. This really put any fears to rest I had concerning things. The first one is Thing 2's profile and the second one is them with their heads together.
